Prior to Procedure

What you need to know before your child's surgery

  • We will contact you a few days prior to your child’s scheduled visit to discuss important factors and necessary documentation relating to his/her surgery. An additional phone call is made the day before the procedure to confirm the time of arrival and transportation.
  • It is very important to follow strict eating and drinking guidelines for the safety of your child. He/she should not have anything to drink after midnight the night before the procedure, unless otherwise instructed. Have your child bathe or shower the evening before surgery.
  • Have your child wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.
  • Leave all jewelry and valuables at home.
