The Children’s Surgery Center of New Jersey (CSC) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the outpatient pediatric surgical needs of children from infancy through adolescence. Our patient-centered approach is complimented by advanced technology and highly trained staff dedicated to providing care for all patients with physical, developmental, and special needs.
The Children’s Surgery Center is fully licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Health and received the Coin of Excellence from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health. This ensures that we, as an institution, are committed to providing the highest standard of patient care and safety.

Our goal is to provide outstanding pediatric surgical care delivered by an expert team of healthcare professionals in a warm and welcoming environment. We invite all patients and their families to tour our center, meet our staff, and discuss any questions or concerns prior to the scheduled procedure.
Procedure Information
Your child’s health is our highest priority. We want both parent and child to feel comfortable at the Abra Health Children’s Surgery Center. Below you will find instructions regarding what you need to do through every phase of your child’s procedure.
Anesthesia
Anesthesiology plays a pivotal role in the treatment and recovery of pediatric patients. Having a surgical procedure can be a scary time for a child and stressful for his/her parents. Our highly trained pediatric board-certified anesthesiologists will hold an interview prior to the start of the scheduled procedure. During this time, they will do everything possible to alleviate any concerns by helping you better understand the entire process.
Parents are allowed to be with their child at all times prior to surgery. In most cases, one parent may accompany his or her child to the operating room and may be present during the initial phase of anesthesia. Blankets, dolls, music or electronics are welcomed to provide comfort at this time.
